And stuff like this is why young voters are bailing on Biden and signaling that they won’t vote in 2024.

Hard to argue at least I’m not Trump when you’re letting his lap dogs call the shots on border policy.

Pointing out that pretty much every poll shows Biden is a bad candidate and might lose to trump is going to get you down voted because apparently acknowledging something bad is probably going to happen makes people think you want it to happen.

There’s big Salem witch trial vibes lately.

But the only way Republicans win is depressed turnout, and the average voter just isn’t excited about Biden after the last couple years.

But too bad for America, because Biden has said he’s only running because trump is even though he said “at least 50” other Dems could beat him.

Biden isn’t going to let something like the potential end of American democracy get in the way of his ego.

I knew posting that that people would down vote for exactly the reason you stated.

I plan to vote for Biden and I don’t have a lot of faith in polls posted this far out.

However, I have been reading comments from young voters. Arguing at least our candidate doesn’t smell like shit doesn’t work very well if you let the other guy rub his shit all over you.

This week, lawmakers are trying to reach a last-minute agreement on tough immigration and border security proposals tied to a $100 billion legislative package that would provide foreign aid to Ukraine and Israel. The frail deal—being brokered by a bipartisan group of senators led by Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) and James Lankford (R-Okla.)—seems increasingly unlikely to materialize before the end of the year.

Because young voters are stupid, ignorant fucks that do things like blame the President for what Congress does?

You’re right; that is why young voters are bailing on Biden.

Still, the possibility has prompted President Joe Biden to tell press that he would be “willing to make significant compromises on the border.” Several new outlets, including CBS News, have since reported that the administration is considering a number of proposals that would likely appease Republicans clamoring for more border enforcement. Among them would be the use of a Title 42-like authority to summarily expel migrants without hearings; the allowance of mandatory detention of migrants; and the expansion of fast-tracked deportations beyond the border.

Biden is signaling his willingness to support this bill if it gets him funding for Ukraine and Israel.

I get that politics works through give and take. But actions like this, on Biden’s part, means giving up young votes.

And shaming young people for having a conscience isn’t helpful here. Yes, it’s poor political strategy on their part. But taking them for granted is poor strategy on Biden’s.

Someone else already quoted the second paragraph of the article, so the heavy lifting here has already been done. You know why young voters are mad at Biden, but have chosen to construct a strawman to knock over instead.

Do you suppose that abusive rhetoric rooted in dishonesty is how to get their votes or keep them in the party?
