    It’s a radar outpost. We have real bases capable of projecting troops and airpower all over the middle east. We could move the radar into Jordan and be fine.

        That was during the Cold War. You know, 40 odd years ago?

        That’s not a reason to go all in on Israel now.

            That’s not actually true. The reason there’s been such a big push by conservative states to support Israel is specifically because support waned after the Cold War.

            And the people actually in charge of defense trust Israel so much we have a, (checks notes), small outpost there. We have 13,000 troops in Kuwait alone. 9,000 in Bahrain, 8,000 in Qatar. Kuwait and Qatar both host giant military bases that our actual allies operate out of as well.

            Don’t tell me that was going on in 1985. Tell me what’s going on now.
