Allowing bad ideas to propagate unchallenged helps no one.
There are studies behind the negative affects on brain health that occur with vegan diet are not something I made up.
Unlike the agenda based studies that vegans trot out, there is hard science backing it up.
“no you don’t understand, bad ideas have to be challenged that’s why i was forced to personally insult you”
blocked for being rude. toodles ✌️
I didn’t personal insult you, you were insulted on someone’s behalf. That’s precious.
dude lemmy.world is rly toxic recently i wonder what happened
That’s spujb, a lemmy.cafe account whose whole thing is toxic positivity
It’s an election year and the Dem candidate is not looking so good, Lemmy’s full of people that exact situation is gonna stress out and irritate so you’ll see more toxicity
It’s not only in US politics where I see the toxicity, though. I’ve seen a lot more people saying transphobic stuff lately for example, mostly but not always from lemmy.world users. My best guess is that the right-wing lemmy instances shut down every time they get blocked by enough big lemmy instances, and each time, some of their users move to lemmy.world since it’s too big to be moderated as effectively as smaller instances
I really wish that wasn’t related to US politics but it totally is.
Right-wing trolls (legit and troll farms) trying to sow chaos and left-wing mods and users on edge and easily upset = Lemmy rn
It was similar in 2016 on Reddit amongst left leaning subs
it might be, but i’m from the UK and even in UK lemmies like !uk_politics@feddit.uk I see a lot of the same stuff. uk politics as a whole is fairly trans phobic, though.
