    I’m a pro-labour guy, but a McDonald’s employee isn’t an essential worker. Think teachers and nurses.

      Tell that to the people who decided McDonald’s employees were just as essential as teachers and nurses during a pandemic. Fwiw, I agree with you. It was ridiculous that places like McDonald’s stayed open during lockdowns, causing millions of people to risk their lives for a pittance

      Food is essential. Whatever else McDonald’s is, they feed a LOT of people, and even though a McDonald’s worker is a tiny piece of that, they are still a piece.

        If everyone is essential no one is. I am never ever going to forgive my local government for opening the bars before they opened the schools

      Fat disagree. Who was around during COVID and everyone called essential and then didn’t get anything. Food workers. Including the grocery industry.
