I met Dan from Trio while smoking outside a bar near the Metro in Chicago before one of their shows. Super nice guy. We talked about the set list they were playing that night.
I love Dan, he’s my favourite in Alkaline Trio, he has this hauntingly beautiful way of writing songs that just hit me right in the feels and that voice, he could turn me. I’m jealous you got to meet him.

I agree, the songs Dan leads on vocals usually end up being my favorites from their albums. His solo stuff is really good too!
