Mercedes drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli have both been hit with one-place grid penalties for the Bahrain Grand Prix, following rule breaches in Saturday’s Qualifying session.

    Honestly surprised it was given a sporting penalty at all. I guess they have to to set a precedent, for some reason I was expecting just a fine.

      Yep, and it’s only a one place grid drop aka the smallest sporting penalty they could give them

      Ted Kravitz’s speculation was that because they slightly blocked the medical car (didn’t cause a problem but could have theoretically) then it’s the kind of thing the FIA really want to crack down on
