Passengers on the ferry Kaitaki have spent the night on board in Wellington harbour due to problems with the the ship's steering, Interislander says.

I was on the Kaitaki when it lost power off Red Rocks, which was almost a maritime disaster, and now this? This is beyond a joke at this point.

    After all the trouble last summer we’ve decided never to sail Interislander again. Bluebridge isnt perfect, but so much better than Interislander.

      I’ve got a 30% off code after the last fiasco, which isn’t a small amount of money taking a car and trailer across the strait, so I’ll probably use them again.
