Well, I’ve seen a trailer and been subjected to clip after clip after clip after clip for years by my friends who refuse to respect my basic position (much like you just did) that I’m just not interested.

I dunno what it is about Avatar fans where they simply cannot accept that someone isn’t interested in their show. No one else does this.

lol judging a show on its trailer is judging a book by its cover. You haven’t seen it, you can’t know if it’s good. I haven’t seen Game of Thrones, except the first episode, just based off of that I can’t say I wouldn’t like it and I’ve seen more of that than you’ve seen of AtLA. You clearly have no clue whether you would like it or not and saying you wouldn’t because it’s a kids show clearly indicates you have no clue what the show is about.

        Conveniently ignoring that.

I never said it was bad. I never said it was good. I said I’m not interested. I don’t like the art style. I don’t like the setting. I don’t like the magic. I don’t like the characters. I don’t even like the voice actors. There is no part of that show that is appealing to me personally. Not sure why you are so hellbent on insisting that I can’t like something without watching it. I also don’t like straight porn. Do you expect me to watch all of that to decide first?

And yes. It is a childrens animated television show. It was made for children and marketed to children. Which is why it was made on Nikelodeon and stars a 12 year old. You are going mental over a childrens television show.

oh no i respect your position of not wanting to watch it, i recommended it to you but i won’t somehow force you to see it.

i just don’t acknowledge your opinion of how you think you’d like no aspect of it, because well, you can’t know that without yk, having seen it

man, you haven’t seen the show, it’s not a small detail it’s a pretty major thing 😭 i ain’t believing someone who says “i don’t like broccoli” when they’ve never tried eating broccoli

I think he’s being way too dismissive of a fantastic show (dismissing it as just a children’s show is definitely not respecting the people who did find it deeply meaningful), but it’s not going to resonate with everybody - I’m sure he’s seen clips of Iroh’s scenes and if that doesn’t sell it to someone the show probably isn’t for them.

… And I thought Korra was for the most part the better show, lol.
