I never called them evil. I’m saying organized religions are used by leaders to justify evil. In America, they’re typically told to be hostile to Muslims. They’re different, therefore they are wrong.

Religion turns everything into an US vs THEM mentality. But easily 95+% of people are just normal people. We’re all the same. Most people just want to live in peace. Dividing people will always generate hate.

I’m not saying religion is good. I agree it’s a big problem too. Reality is that religion has been a thing for the entirety of human history and it’s not going away anytime soon. Over 70% of this country Identifies Christian and those people are not all MAGA or this election would not have been as close as it was. It’s silly to shit on people who are also fighting fascism just because they need to believe in a god to get them through this fucked up existence. The problem with political discourse in this country is the black and white thinking. Everything is nuanced and you have to find common ground with people to affect change. Ideological purity is a losing strategy. It doesn’t mean you can’t still fight for what you believe in. It just means don’t create your own US vs THEM mentality with people who don’t fully accept your take - which is exactly what statements like “all christians are MAGA” does.
