I’m actually in favor of this. Colbert was wasted on that show, he has so much better work ahead of him.
I wouldn’t say he’s wasted, but I do agree he has better work ahead of him.
You can look at Jon Oliver who carved out a pretty solid gig for himself. He got lucky that Stewart needed a little time to explore and he got to jump in as guest host. Next thing you know he’s scoring yearly Emmy wins.
I don’t know what Colbert might get up to next, but do agree it’ll be worth watching.
I just know so much of his other work and got so board of the CBS gig. Fuck it let’s reboot strangers with candy!
