I don’t agree with cm0002’s campaign of reposting everything posted to a lemmy.ml community to a community hosted elsewhere, so I don’t want to run a bot that suggests there’s genuine growth somewhere when I consider any growth there to be driven by bullshit. The bot was never sophisticated enough to distinguish between the two.
I’m nearing completion of my own bot now, hopefully it’s first post will be later today. Will probably need some adjustment later on since I threw it together in just a weekend (well more like 8 hours across a weekend, a little here and there because life lmao)
Yea, it’s not really a fair point (well beyond “its his bot to do with what he pleases” anyways) my interpretation of his comment was “I’m pissed it’s actually working and people are actually subscribing and growing non-.ml comms so I’m taking my toy and going home” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ LMAO
