This feels so real. I’ve been so traumatised by toxic bosses, every time my current boss calls me, I expect the worst, but it’s actually just him checking on me and asking how I am doing, or that he needs my help with something. It takes a long, long time to get used to a decent manager.
Honestly, I’ve only had a handful of bosses, and thankfully, I can say none were truly toxic. With that said, I still feel like every time they want to talk is the day im getting fired, lol. My job is a higher anxiety type job where if things go wrong, you could be on the chopping block, so maybe that’s it.
I wonder if there actually exist jobs in which i wouldnt be anxious or if im just anxious by nature in any job i get.
In 7 hours, I have to bring down an entire company for 2 hours to do a massive upgrade. I probably won’t sleep tonight constantly thinking about if I missed anything that will cause issues and also praying everything goes smoothly. It’s not my favorite part of the job, and I can’t wait till it’s over to relax.
I’ve had toxic bosses before and 2 were honestly traumatic. I feel you
Gonna start sending out emails to random addresses that just says “You’re in big trouble and everyone is mad at you.”
No, you need the caps on BIG or else it won’t work!
The only capital letter.
Every time there’s a network glitch and I get disconnected from work I briefly think “did I just get fired?”
But unfortunately it always reconnects and I have to go back to work.
No matter how many times I see this post it makes me laugh
A meeting with the entire team scheduled 30 minutes out is what you should be scared of
The times I’ve been fired it’s always, “hey can you come with me for a quick meeting?” completely out of the blue.
They want to get you physically away from your computer when they lock your account.
Nah just a 1:1 with your director.
That’s why i never check my email
Modern problems require modern solutionsThe Dream Team didn’t even have e-mail.
Still waiting for the email that offers me 50k to leave the company…
Imposter syndrome is a hell of a drug when it comes to negotiations on salary… Lol
You drive a hard bargain. A 10% cut it is. Thank you, I deserve that.
Sounds more like a phone call than an email.
Teams message nowadays…
Yeah my current job I started during the pandemic so it was like a year before I actually went into the office. I didn’t even really notice there was a phone on my desk. One day it started making a noise. It took me way too long to realize it was making noise because someone was calling me on the phone.
