Try marching all day with 100 lbs of armor and gear. You will sleep like a baby.

Hard manual labor, especially marching with heavy equipment and military training, just knocks you out like nothing else.

Learning to sleep whenever you have a chance is one of the first skills soldiers learn

The best was in training, putting your bag in your lap and leaning on it after a long day. Wake up and told to go eat. Smash in 10 minutes, finish off your 1qt canteen and go to bed.

Get up early, exercise, and kill some folks until you’re tired. Sleep like a baby.

I’m going to guess that if you expected to die tomorrow, there would be a fair bit of cuddling that would make sleep come easier. Aside from the exhaustion everyone is mentioning.

If I am going to die, yeah, sure, I might as well experiment a bit with the homies. Worst case, my regret will be pretty short, and it’s not like I’ll have to spend the next years being awkward around them anyway.

You could if you got off your ass and marched 30 miles. Not a hard concept.

I mean, they “were” exercising a lot. I’ve found that usually helps.

Oh yes, exercising. A lot of exercise with your almost naked best friends. Wrestling, sweating, and then to relax a good game of “guess whose abs are those, without looking”. That’s exhausting, for sure.
