River rafting is just an hour away, up in Gold Bar. Well, I guess it could be a couple hours depending on where you live, but if you’re in Seattle then it’s just a short drive. The only real drawbacks are the constant overcast skies, and how short summer is. We’ve got all these great outdoor activities nearby, but only a short window to enjoy them in, unless you don’t mind doing them while cold and wet.

A few weeks ago wild foxgloves erupted everywhere in our neighborhood. We have a patch in our backyard that are six and a half feet tall now. I love all the birds everywhere, and the flowers, and the greenery. When the sun comes out and it warms up, it’s honestly like paradise. But I do get a little SAD by about the middle of winter.

A lot of people seem to enjoy it.

Western Washington is very beautiful unless you like sunshine, in which case it’s mostly depressing for somewhere between 9 and 12 months out of the year, depending on the year. There have been years where we didn’t get a summer, and rolled right over into fall, which resulted in like 20 months of overcast skies and rain.

People pay attention to who is leading in the polls and more likely to win. It doesn’t make a lot of sense but there’s a huge portion of the population that wants to be “on the winning side”. So whichever candidate is getting reported as the strong leader in the news, gets their vote. The news includes the super delegates in their reporting, despite the fact that the super delegates have only voted against the popular vote one time in all of history. So, the whole situation is misleading for the masses because they don’t understand how the system works and they want to vote for the “winning” candidate. The DNC understood how this would play out when they created the super delegates, and it has served them well in installing a pro-institutional candidate in all of the elections. After 2016 there were reforms made for the 2020 election about when super delegates can vote and the way they’re reported due to strong backlash from Democrat voters over the shenanigans they pulled against Bernie.

I was thinking that he’s giving the same salute Hitler himself would give in response to salutes. He had the same haircut too. That boy was officer material.

I saw a documentary about him once where they showed him in a Las Vegas hotel. He decided he wanted to go shopping, so they took him to the fancy art store there. We’re talking paintings that cost a couple million dollars each. He walked through the store and pointed at things he liked and his handlers bought everything for him. If that was an average day for him, then I’m not surprised he was heavily in debt. They had to close everything off just for him to go places, which I’m sure also costs a fortune. Fans would get a glimpse of him walking and break down into hysterics and tears. It was quite the spectacle.

I left there years ago, but thanks. And yes, Microsoft produces some very shitty products that are worse than all their competitors, yet they retain the lion’s share of the market.
