Lidl in Germany has thin salami sticks called “Vemondo Vegane Tyrolini”. It’s not much, just 80 grams or so, but they are great as a little snack.
Every supermarket in Germany has " Salzstangen" from different brands. The cheap ones are usually vegan (not specially labeled vegan, but the ingredient list says so). Great for movie nights if you are not into potato chips.
Generally keep an eye open for the “vegan” label on products. Most supermarkets have at least a few products to choose from. Great stores are usually Edeka, Aldi, Penny, Lidl and Kaufland. I can’t really say something about Rewe, because there is no store near me. Really bad is Netto. Also better keep away from smaller Edeka Stores that are labeled as “nah & gut” or “nah & frisch”. These store are mostly in really small villages and tend to have absolutely no vegan products.

Because governments love taxes from workers. Germany actually does love taking taxes from working class people, but obviously hates taking taxes from businesses and the rich people. Thats my perception as a german.
