Canada geese and white-tailed deer nearly went extinct. Now they’re considered pests in some areas. It’s possible for nature to bounce back, it just needs to be given a chance.

I agree though I’m gonna level with you - to me, a lot of people who climb Everest are like a lot of marathon runners, only with too much money to burn: they’re in it for the kudos and social media points.
I get people’s need for external validation, that’s just a human thing. Having said that, the big difference is in the environmental destruction, human exploitation and waste of resources involved in climbing Everest and rescuing people.

Let’s just wander mindlessly
Just like some climbers on Everest…

Another off topic Everest movie recommendation - The Summit of the Gods. It’s a phenomenal movie, go watch it!
Synopsis shamelessly stolen from ScreenRant: The Summit of the Gods follows a photojournalist’s relentless pursuit of the truth surrounding the first expedition to Mount Everest. His investigation leads him to seek out a revered climber who vanished during the journey, uncovering mysteries within the perilous world of high-altitude mountaineering.

Netflix is training AI on the work of the artists in the animation department. They’re absolutely not the least bad, they’re all equally terrible.
It takes practice and making sure it’s at the correct temperature. If I can fry eggs in stainless steel without sticking you can too friend. Follow the instructions on this page to get you started:

Knights of Guinevere
A person of taste I see.

I think animation is a bit of a different beast. Compared to live action movies, animation finds little respect among the wider populace, unless they have Disney or Pixar stamped on the cover (and mayyybe Dreamworks). Most studios are aware of this and don’t bother investing in new stuff these days because they think there’s no money in it. It’s important to show support for good animation with original stories and great characters, so studios understand they need to make more of these kinds of movies/shows. That being said, I’m not sure Sony will read this as anything more than the need to make 4 sequels, 10 seasons and a couple of spin-offs. Hopefully they get the message…
They look so indignant, how dare these people manhandle them! <3
Oh I’ll definitely be back with more photos, especially of the barn owls. They’re nesting in a church and the village is making sure they’re comfortable there. I think that helps but I think they also like the area because there are organic farms nearby. Great place for rodents!

Interesting I’ve not heard of vietnamese coriander before. I’ll keep an eye out for it, thanks!

Yeah I lost(?) the genetic lottery there. People thought I was being extra for years, I’m glad it’s become common knowledge that there’s a genetic link. I love mexican and indian food though so over time I’m learning to power through and not think about it too much, but it’s rough out there man. Though I know one guy who has the “soap gene” but he loves coriander lol I suspect I also have something similar with grapefruit. I know it’s supposed to be bitter but it just tastes like paint stripper to me, even in small amounts.

Oof that sucks, parsley is in a shit tonne of stuff. Good luck out there friend

Just checking, have you had coriander? It’s the same thing, just called cilantro in the Americas. For regular people it apparently tastes “fresh” and more subtle than parsley. For me it just tastes like soap, even a tiny amount ruins the entire dish.

Not one specific dish but there’s a lot of coriander/cilantro used in Portuguese cooking. It makes otherwise delicious dishes taste absolutely vile.
We can point fingers at governments and companies all day long, but unless something motivates them to change they’re not going to. Right now the only real mechanisms we have at our disposal are our votes and our wallets. If people throw up their hands and can’t even be arsed to leverage either of those things, nothing will change. Telling ourselves it’s someone else’s fault and doing nothing is the pinnacle of being part of the problem.

How about the statue of confederate Lieutenant General Nathan Bedford Forrest on horseback?

It’s ugly on the outside and the inside!
Speaking of marinating
