The Jansport Right Pack lasted me from second grade till the end of college. When we bought it, my parents said it was expensive so I would have to use it for 2 years, it finally had the stitching fail after 16 years. Real “Buy it for life” recommendation there.

The process they describe for making it is simple, takes a bit over 3 days, and the tools and ingredients are fairly common. I would hope someone tries to replicate this ASAP and we start to see whispers of the validity of this soon, like in the next week or two.

Again, just looking at the legal side of things, trying to remove all personal bias:

The question becomes “was Jan 6th an ‘insurrection’, a ‘rebellion’ or a ‘riot’?” While judges have described it as an insurrection from the bench, there have been no charges of insurrection brought against anybody involved so far. The charges include destruction of property, assault, and interfering with an official proceeding, but no charges of insurrection.

Until someone is charged with insurrection or rebellion, legally speaking, it was maybe a “riot”, which, strictly reading the constitution, is not disqualifying for public office.

It pains me to say this, but in an effort to break up the group think, remember, he hasn’t been convicted of anything yet. If we really believe in due process and innocent till proven guilty, until he is tried and convicted, these petitions have no merit.

All that being said, justice delayed is justice denied, so we should be looking for court reforms to make this whole process move faster, while still being a fair as humanly possible.

It sets a dangerous precedent. What’s to stop someone from creating a community, then go to every other instance they can find and register on, create a community with the same name, lock it, and direct everyone to the instance they want?

Any community that sees no activity (comments, votes, post, etc) over a reasonable time period (90 days?) should be automatically deleted or all the mods are removed allowing for others to come in and take over the name space.

Oh yeah, the UX on that could definitely use some improvement, but remember Kbin is very young, the dev just went from 0 to plaid in 2 weeks and has been dealing with server size issues the whole time so there hasn’t been a ton of new development except bug fixes. If you can code, consider proposing a fix via a pull request.
