In my experience most of these ‘cool leftists’ mean it in chatgpt and deepseek way, which they can use to blindly praise China. Like oki I am sympathetic to the Chinese project as well but the amount of problems it still has I wouldn’t praise it blindly. Like these people talk about being ‘marriage pilled’ and ‘china pilled’ like yes but marriage as a concept is inherit to class society let alone capitalism and theirs no other reason to legalize a relationship and China literally had scientists trying to make vaccines for pregnant women which would reduce chances of autism in fetuses like my guy China has a lot of cool things but you need some kind of bearing on yourself otherwise you’re sending the signal that the only people who are welcome in socialism are able bodied neurotypical people, reducing poverty is bare minimum a govt should do, bare minimum, there’s literally no downside to it at a human level but people think that excuses literally every other problem.

I have been falling out of most of the podcasts, trueanon, the deprogram, all the ‘cool kids’ podcasts. These people really show themselves when they talk about being normal. I am proud of you for taking this step.

I agree which could have been avoided if smartphone weren’t shipped as dslr replacements and even they at least capture something real. Ai generation is a complete divorce from reality. That’s why I think we need to down scale smartphones and make camera another part of regular life for photography lovers because it is good that people want to do citizen science but they should be aware of problems and they won’t be solved so long as these structures are in place.

That’s why I believe genai like chatgpt and deepseek are just the next step in the algorithmic alienation that started with for-profit social media

I hate America so fucking much, it has single handedly created everything single fucking thing that’s the bane of my existence and might drive me to suicide one day. Crypto? Fucking america. Chatgpt and similar blackboxes of data? Fucking america. Surveillance? Fucking america. Ozempic? Fucking america. Like this fucking settler society deserves to burn to ground and its ashes spread on a barren rock in space where radiation will strip it to atoms, there’s no society more disgusting than America except its own settler state lapdog called Israel.

It feels weird but good, finally have a collective and individual humanity affirmed, yes our life, our chats, our conversations, our data, our labour, these don’t exist so a deadend algorithm can trained, our labour exists so we can pass on our knowledge for the practice of the next generation. It is never for us, at least not us alone, it is for everyone now and in future.
