I mean, I agree the comment is mostly ragebait or not serious. However, I wanted to mention that you may be underestimating how large a proportion of women’s knickers have this bow. I usually cut them off, as they are just annoying, but honestly in my experience, the vast majority of knickers have this.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do I need to know to install grapheneOS on a Google Pixel?
2·2 months agoAgreed. It was far easier than I expected.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is (one of) your favorite kind(s) of bread, and what context do you enjoy it in the most?
3·2 months agoI love a good, fresh baked Danish rye bread. Butter and a sharp cheese is all it really needs to make it perfect. Also a freshly baked roomali, wrapped around spicy chicken kebab with mint raita. Ooh, and a roti canai with that amazing Malay curry sauce they serve them with. Oh - and its close cousin the paratha, in almost any form. Maybe especially an aloo paratha.

United Kingdom@feddit.uk•Dominic Cummings’ "moonshot" agency awarded £52m to US tech firmsEnglish
1·2 months agoYeah, I just remembered being surprised by the (small) size of Russia’s GDP when I looked it up a while back.
Re the Euro, yep, we do have an exception, although I don’t think we’re the only EU country without the Euro (Sweden off the top of my head, maybe Poland too?). I am not really on top of all the macroeconomic implications - I would guess that the Danish krone is probably tied to the Euro at some level, and much of our financial policy is probably tied to EU policy. Could be there are some financial policy options that Denmark has more control over, when opting out of the Euro, but nothing that I am particularly aware of.
I think at a personal level, I would be fine with taking the Euro in Denmark. Easier for travel and online shopping without exchange costs. But that is an uninformed personal view :) I do not have a current detailed understanding of any other implications this would come with for the country - I am just not personally precious about our currency as some kind of national identity symbol.
I think you are right that the Euro would be a core part of any potential UK re-entry negotiations with the EU though.

3·2 months agoRussia would not be the largest European economy, even if you counted them. They are about the size of Italy in terms of GDP I believe (not intending this as a correction, just sharing an interesting fact).
Totally agree with your main point, that the UK would be better off pursuing closer ties with Europe and the EU over US.
I love these dudes! They are definitely up there with some of the weirdest critters I’ve come across scuba diving - they look like a chicken wing with lipstick on, scurrying along the sand.

ADHD memes@lemmy.dbzer0.com•The world is really tough, but we love you being with usEnglish
21·3 months agoI second this. I do not have ADHD, but my partner of 23 years does, and I can see the struggle he sometimes faces.
I will not say living with him is easy. Sometimes it is very challenging. But he brings so much joy, inspiration and adventure to my life, I would not be without it.
I do not always carry my wallet, but i have a credit card in a compartment in the back of my phone case. Works just as well as google pay for me.
I have a “kodeviser” device, works for all MitID purposes.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are some of your favorite songs in a language you do not speak?
8·4 months agoI don’t speak any Irish, but I am obsessed with Kneecap at the moment. Some of their lyrics include English of course, some tracks are fully in Irish. Either way, they are great!
I also switched to Kvaesisto from Nova. Its quite different, and I had to get used to it, but I really love it now. I don’t think I’ll ever want to switch.
Agree Sri Lanka is underrated, it has some gorgeous beaches, the hill area is beautiful, and the food is excellent.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it normal I feel embarrassed about being female sometimes because of feminine smells I don't want to be associated with?
33·5 months agoSome people with penises can have very bad hygiene, and this too results in bad smells. Trying to make this specific to women is just misogyny.
I just had to tweak the permissions for MobilePay, I cannot remember exactly which, but I think it was something about allowing it to use the Play Store integrity layer? It was a quick fix in any case, and they have some advice on the Graphene site.
For banking Revolut works with no issues. I have not tried my main bank, I never use their app, always do my banking on my laptop anyway.
Good luck. I switched a long while back now, and I love it. I went back to using a phone cover with space for a physical payment card, and I honesty never miss having Google Pay.
There were a couple of other items specific to Denmark that I had issues with, one I solved and it now works (MobilePay), the other I replaced with a dongle (MitID). Outside of those two, everything else worked flawlessly from the start.
There is a lot more control available to you, and I’ve found the settings and user experience very easy to figure out.
Not a hospital, but the hallway does lead to the office clinic and gym - so health related

Steam Deck@lemmy.ml•Is the 64gb model + 512GB SD card enough for casual gaming?English
2·7 months agoPossibly it is filling up the drive. Honestly, I have not checked my settings or storage in a long time.
I have been playing like this since BG3 came out. I also occasionally play other games on the deck. So far, no issues. If I run into a problem, I’ll have to see about clearing space then.

It is indeed OK to like pretty things. But the bows are sort of a visible lump on the front, if I’m wearing leggings/ soft trousers/ dress.
