Heh I remember several years ago, I bought a cool vintage 10-speed bike which was lovingly restored by a local bike co-op, it wasn’t ever a top of the line pro racing bike or anything, just a nice old street bike for casual riding. The co-op did a great job making it like new, but with subtle finishing accents.

I posted some pics of it on r/bicycling on Reddit to get their feedback, advice. SUCH SNOBBERY! My god, you’d think I took a shit in the middle of the lobby floor of The Ritz-Carlton. They made me feel wholly unwelcome and unwanted.

Yeah. I’ve been banned from certain communities on Lemmy for “vote manipulation,” or “not pruning my feed.” -Because when I browse “all,” I downvote a lot of the creepy stuff that seems (in my opinion) to promote rape and/or pedophelia.

I only have one lemmy account. I don’t even know how to “manipulate” votes, and if I see creepy pedo stuff while browsing “all”, I downvote it.

I would explain what it is that I feel is promoting pedophelia, but since Lemmy seems to have a lot of fans of that particular genre, I’ll keep it to myself. Let’s just say it involves illustrations and animations of big eyes, small mouths, and childlike physiques.

I once dated a girl for a while but we stopped dating because she was just too BPD for me to handle. The passion & sex were great, but the mood swings, lies, paranoia, etc. were just too much.

We remained friends though for a very long time. Went our separate ways but were always in touch. Eventually she got into drugs & dating real bad dudes, and I tried to get her to get a grip and stop the drugs & ruining her life. She ghosted me. Eventually she responded (or rather her boyfriend did) that she was in a psych ward for rehab. Our friendship resumed when she got out.

A year later she died. I met her family at the funeral, befriended them. One day I mentioned her psych ward stay. Her mom said she was never in a psych ward. She pulled up texts on her phone from the date range when she allegedly was in the ward.

The whole thing was a sham. She told me she was in the psych ward / rehab to get me off her back. The txt from her bf was just her.

I miss my friend dearly, but finding that out broke my heart.

Yesterday I solved it in 2. Today, no so lucky…
