It sounds like he’s simply a Trumptard, brainwashed with their koolaid of doom. And again I’m glad I never signed up for Epic.

There’s certainly more to it than just a gimmick. One of the most important things is web filtering for content, which is a useful parental control because children should not be exposed to porn, graphic violence, and other types of mentally harmful content. Controls may not be able to stop everything but they can definitely hinder and slow down the process at least.

I don’t give a fuck what Facebook is doing with VR because I would never touch their bullshit, being tainted with the evil that they are. On the other hand I will be ordering a Steam Frame as soon as the BUY button is available to click because I have immensely enjoyed having an Index and the Frame seems like a great evolution of their product. Valve is doing the real work on what VR needs now.

I was going to comment to not buy Tito’s because I had heard they donated to the Epstein regime, but I decided to look it up for a citation and could not verify that. So instead have my neutral recommendation of take it or leave it.
Youtube is at the top. But some of us don’t use Youtube as a form of Social Media - I just use it as a video host that plays the videos I wanted to see that were on Youtube. I’ve never left a comment, a like, or subscribed.

This kind of stuff is not going to help bring in new voters to their party. It may work well with a portion of those who would already vote for them, but it may also drive away others who were potentials.

Built a new small PC recently and set up dual-boot with 2 drives… Linux was easier to set up and get running overall than Windows 11. When I installed Linux, it found my drive to install on with no problem, but W11 could not without bringing over Intel storage drivers on a USB stick. Linux had built-in drivers for all of the hardware, everything working right on first startup. Windows required me to download Wifi drivers onto a USB stick from another computer before I could download anything. Windows also required for me to download many other drivers from the motherboard mfr website. Now Windows is hassling me to activate with a non-generic product key that I didn’t buy yet. Linux just worked from the start.

Yes I did read up on that and tried using Flatseal for permissions granting, but it didn’t work so I didn’t troubleshoot it very far before doing to the .deb install

Switching the household’s PCs to avoid the Windows 11 BS here. All my stuff is good so far, but the kids have a few games that don’t work - Minecraft Bedrock, Fortnite, and Roblox.

That may be an old issue, but I just set up a couple of NTFS drive Steam libraries on Linux last week and it didn’t give me any errors or warnings about the drive format. But I did have big issues with the Flatpak edition of Steam - it couldn’t even write to a local second ext4 partition. Had to switch to .deb Steam install to fix all that
We made some ether in my HS chemistry lab for a lab exercise, and I was goofing around pretending to inhale it but accidentally did get some in, and I got a loopy dizzy feeling for a minute or two.

Another zip tie tip - they are reusable if you cut the right end off when removing one. Might be obvious to others, but took me years to figure out somehow.
Just don’t cut the end attached to the head of the zip tie. Cut the tail right before it enters the zip-tie-hole, release it, and you just made a new but shorter zip tie

Good idea to put “Freedom” in the name of his group. Remind people about that word
The “European” sizes are just the normal sizes we used to have in the USA. Gradually they increased the sizes to sell more dranks by default. Current “small” size drinks are just the former medium size cups and so on

My work PC has Windows 11 and it does get in the way of my work. This bullshit is using 12GB of RAM to run a web browser, Teams, and Powershell. Before “upgrading” to 11 from 10, it used about 3GB less RAM for the same stuff. Nothing has improved from 10 to 11, just made it slower.

I blame the dumbasses who voted for Trump, and the dumbasses who didn’t vote. It was not hard to vote against Orange Hitler if you had half a brain functioning.

He used to be a real piece of shit. He still is, too.
In 1898 they annexed Hawaii by a joint resolution of Congress, after some business goons and Marines overthrew the Queen of Hawaii in 1893 and a few years of negotiations. The Hawaiians by majority did not want to be annexed.
Greenland is a territory of Denmark, a member of NATO, and they also don’t want to be annexed so this is a bit different. Congress should vote to not go to war with NATO.
