Why would someone write some software as a service for themselve? You wouldn’t need to pay for it. It only becomes a service if somebody else wrote it and you pay for it on an ongoing basis. Your question does not make any sense. But let me address your actual point: If you want to find the next big idea, try to solve something you need yourself.
