  • Interesting wordsmithing. Why did you ignore Xbox?

Oh yeah, Xbox client ships with windows lol . And Apple has made it increasingly difficult to install apps outside of their store.

Furthermore, you’ve narrowed down gaming to a very narrow definition. Nobody is stopping PlayStation or Nintendo selling games on PC. Whether or not you like it though, they are selling games, and they do compete with steam. And, they likely sell more than steam too

Or are you genuinely arguing that Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo aren’t competing for gamers?

Again, I’m pretty sure that at least part of being a monopoly is that most gamers know who you are, and that doesn’t seem to be the case when I speak to people

    1. You can’t easily buy them, and haven’t been able to for years. Bunnings and Total Tools haven’t sold them for years. So, given how useful they are, where are all these shops? In other states, you have to use
    2. List some examples of when you use your machete exactly and where? Every time I ask this, it’s always a vague response, or none.
    3. Parks VIC don’t use them, and either does friends of Parks for maintenance. You’d think the guys in dense bush would need them…
    4. Every lobbyist video was a guy holding one simply saying how useful it was talking shit about the government, or the last one was a guy hacking at grass and failed even at that (Scythes AREN’T banned btw)
    5. It’s clear there was an issue with machetes. There needs to be mechanisms in place to allow enforcements.
    6. In Victoria, they’re actually LEGAL for use in Agriculture/farming still anyway. So, the complaints are even more dumb lol

So, I’d love to hear your awesome use-cases.

And yes, it’s always the right wing getting upset about absolutely dumb stuff, such as Trans people, being able to own 10+ guns, paper bags, etc.

  • Who did the machete ban inconvenience exactly? They’re not even a good tool for Australia.

And, if you watch the YouTube videos of people showing how “critical” they are, it was clear they had never used one and were just complaining, and using them as a political argument (same people who claim they can’t use the roads because of potholes)… or people who claim they need 10+ guns

Last video I saw was someone using it in long grass basically, and it was clear they were in a park from some of their camera angles, and we’re simply acting for the camera.

Nobody actually uses them. In fact, I tried to buy one a few years back, and nobody sold them anymore (not even bunnings)

But, if you tell the local far right wing population they can’t buy something, they’ll blow it out of proportion and pretend like the world is falling.

Even park rangers weren’t using them it seems and it’s hilarious that people talking about the ban never seem to be using machetes themselves, and are talking on behalf of people who likely don’t even exist
