  • App doesn’t appear to work at all.

Might work with the floating button, but I won’t activate it to test.

The accessibility option it needs is unclear, it just sent me to the android accessibility setting tab with no idea what needs to be done there, if anything.

It didn’t replace my default assistant when I tried to change it.

Circletosearch says to double tap the status bar? Why? That doesn’t do anything?

I didn’t see anything sketchy about the app, but it doesn’t appear to be functional, so meh. Maybe try again after they’ve worked on it some more.

  • No.

I’ve only ever read a forums rules when adding a post, in order to ensure it gets accepted.

My comments on posts are responses to the post being seen by me. Any and all post seen by me are responded to as I see fit, ad hoc.

If you don’t like em, you can feel free to do your job and moderate whatever content you can as you see fit, but I am in no way ever going to read and study and memorize the combined thousands of rules for every community that pops up in my feed on any social platform before commenting.

Your demand is so far from reasonable, or rational, that my immediate conclusion is that you should be banned from ever moderating a public community.

So, please take your head, and remove it from your ass: BTW, you sound like a hardcore fascist POS!

    Cheers.

  • Helped somebody homeschool a kid in elementary school a decade ago, the system was pretty user friendly and only really needed a human adult to keep the kid on task and ensure breaks and such. Basically didn’t need to help at all.

If the student is willing to learn, and knows to take breaks when they lose focus, I don’t see why an AI teacher wouldn’t be sufficient for 90% or more of the class-time… But a human teacher should still be reachable for occasional needs.

Heck one actual teacher could probably manage thousands of students for most classes if AI and digital course systems are there to handle most guidance.

There’s definitely still something to be said for in-person schooling… But it isn’t necessary for every class… I was bored as fuck in school for a handful of basic classes cause I had to wait for the ‘class’ to catch up before we moved on. I prefer online courses for anything that doesn’t require hands on guidance.

  • Does this mean epubs won’t stop and require a new page to load at the end of chapters / new file segments?

It’s one of my biggest gripes switching from mobi single file ebooks to epub multi-file ebooks.

Should just append the next file and allow the flow to continue.

Been waiting for such a change for epub reading apps for many years.

Update: OMG yes, it works! (Not by default, scroll mode must be opted-in first via 3-dot menu)

Now I can maintain the same scroll while reading habits I do for online content, PDFs, and Mobi files while reading ePubs! Bout damn time!

This is now my default ebook reader everywhere!

  • While I oppose ICE, this is stupid.

The person chose to put themselves in front of a vehicle in motion which appeared to be moving to ensure it’s occupants could escape an area where a clear threat to them was present. I don’t care if the occupants were teens, drunk uncles, my grandma, or ICE. Fuck that idiot for getting on the hood or moving intentionally in front of that vehicle!

The vehicle occupants don’t appear to have targeted anyone, so they get a pass. At least from what is shown in the video.

It’s possible they had other exit opportunities that didn’t put the peds in harms way, and chose to drive through them on purpose, and lf so that changes things, but that’s not shown in the video.
