Honestly, I would use Lemmy more except that some posts are just people being overly negative or strangely political in the comments. There are good communities without this don’t get me wrong but it can get old

A lot of women I know who aren’t the typical “gamer” type really enjoy Stardew Valley. It’s a little farming game where you live in a town, foster relationships with the townspeople, and generally go about small town life. Very cute game, especially fun with friends.

Also Minecraft, it’s very open ended and there are many ways to play it.

As for how to start, an affordable laptop will run both of these fairly well, if you want Nintendo games you’ll probably have to get a Nintendo Switch.

Definitely make a Steam account though, you’ll find pretty much all the games you could want in one place there (Minecraft is separate).

Hot take, I enjoyed Chappie. I don’t care that there’s some self-insert band in there, it’s just a funny robot movie

The car is efficient enough for it to do something (20-30 miles a day in summer if I remember), but yes it’s mostly marketing and they say as much. “Solar electric car” sounds a lot better than “this car is pretty normal but it’s super efficient”

I think the general absurdity of it, plus you’re never quite sure where they’re gonna go.
