That paraphrase is an accurate characterization of what you said. The example you gave of someone being “a little queer” was a guy dating a trans woman. That is a transphobic thing to say, and there’s really no getting around that.
The charitable reading of your comment was to assume you didn’t mean to be transphobic, and that if you thought about it more, you would change the point you were trying to make, and say something else. Since your response to being called out was to go on and on defending yourself while tying yourself in knots refusing to see the meaning of what you wrote, that’s clearly not a reasonable assumption.
Your comment was not about a particular trans woman who identified in a particular way, and it wouldn’t have made any sense if it was. It was about relationships between men and trans women in general not qualifying as straight.
If this was about a single comment, I could believe you just had trouble expressing yourself. But you’ve had every opportunity to take back your original comment, and instead you’ve deflected, argued that you’re technically correct, and blamed everyone else for ‘misinterpreting’ you by reading the words you wrote. Honestly, I think you expressed yourself just fine, but you don’t like hearing what that says about you.
I believe you don’t want to be transphobic, but when you’re so focused on trying to win internet arguments that you can’t reflect on what you said, you’re not going to be able to do the work of self-examination needed to get rid of transphobic beliefs.
I won’t be responding to you anymore in this thread. I hope you take something away from all this.
