What is the connection to autism? Why don’t people understand you?
I often switch contexts in my head without informing my partner and assuming they’ll know what I’m talking about.

When you use “troll”, are you implying intent? I think some people are just poor readers, and having decided they are right, now blindly argue for their position regardless of any information.

Cool! Thanks for all that info. Syncthing will probably be what I settle on once I figure out how to get Android from disconnecting from a Wifi without internet. Graphene has an option to turn off the internet check, but I still get disconnected. I think my best bet is to figure out how to configure the router to keep Android happy, but I haven’ t the slightest idea about how to go about it.

The MAGA we need.

I think you are misunderstanding me. I agree with you, but i’m differentiating between the justice system explicitly legalizing criminality and the justice procedurally ignoring it. Dredd Scott is an example of the former, Epstein is an example of the latter.
I know exactly where my passport is.

I’ve seen this coming from the Bush 2 administration. So have a lot of other people. The parallels between Weimar Germany and the United States are blatantly obvious to anyone who knows both, which is probably more Germans than Americans.

Honestly, I have PTSD from that site. Things are better here, but sometimes my flashbacks get triggered.

To be fair, it’s already tomorrow in Australia, so they’ve had a whole extra day to get out the story.

I can see the scars, friend. Thank you for your service.

Agreed. Trains are peak civilization. Personal automobiles suck no matter who or what is driving them.

You know more than I do, I think, but how would writing the script speed up the file transfer?
The first time you use rsync, it’s going to take a long ass time because you are copying EVERY file. But after the first sync, you’re just copying changes, so it’ll take much less time.
I use fre:ac to convert things pretty trivially, but I suspect you may enjoy writing scripts, to which I say: enjoy!

Well, there you go. A self driving car DOES remove human error. However, it replaces it with computer error. Now what? I´d think it’s reasonable that if computer error is less than human error, then we are in a better position.

The United States has a long history of the using the legal system to enforce Jim Crow laws… but really, most of the injustice is just persistent bias at every stage of the judicial process–from being stopped by police, to being arrested by police, to be tried in court, to being sentenced. Black people are just stopped more, arrested more, tried more, convicted more, and sentenced to harsher punishments. There’s no need to EXPLICITLY spell it out. Everyone just knows to do their job to enforce white supremacy within the letter of the law.
That said, there are definitely some laws to help along the police state oppression: civil forfeiture, qualified immunity, lower civil rights protections in “high crime areas” (read: black neighborhoods).
The way you ask your question, though, it makes it sound like you’re asking when the justice system gives its EXPLCIT BLESSING to injustice, as opposed to just ALLOWING it to happen. I think that’s much rarer.

Maybe you can do some personal exploration about some thing that would be more rewarding? It just sounds like you’re in a motivational rut and your only thought is how to pleasantly pass the most amount of time with the least amount of effort?

At the point that it does.
For the United States: somewhere around 1857–charitably.

Overkill: get rid of your home wifi and go back to physical media. Use a mobile hotspot with limited data for everything else.
I don’t watch YouTube anymore, though I do listen to it plenty over my phone’s connection.
Edit: Bigger picture: find something you want to do more. Set a goal and make a commitment to set aside a modest amount of time every day to achieve it.

Don’t remember what all everything does but my default to move to my mp3 player is
systemd-inhibit rsync -avh --delete source dest
The systemd-inhibit is to keep it from falling asleep, --delete removes any files present at destination but not at source.
Out of curiosity, how do you organize your file formats? I have a mess of separate FLAC and separate MP3 files. I’ll just regularly convert all my FLAC to a mirrored directory of MP3s and copy that onto SD.
It’s a pain in the butt though.
I finally almost have 64gb of music the max on my SD card, so it’s time to start throwing music into an archive, too.
Who even has people over at all these days?
