I mean, so will opium

Yes

I manage hundreds of windows server VMs as a matter of routine. At that scale the efficiency of the command line wins out.

Fellow anarchist here, I’ve been accumulating used hardware that’s on the older side to Frankenstein together a homelab/cluster, brush up on self-hosting foss, and increase my personal tech sovereignty.

Don’t forget all the time you save not having to configure stuff and fight with drivers. I enjoy dealing with that stuff because I like to learn, but others might not.

Think about how much time and effort can go into selecting hardware, optimizing it, managing drivers, tweaking OS to play nice. I’m a masochist so I enjoy learning all that stuff - can’t really blame those who don’t. For them it is actually a bargain

I can tell it’s been a while since you used windows 😁.
Some of us are forced to btw.
Modern “command prompt” on windows is called Terminal and supports both PowerShell and CMD commands.

I have questions.
Chief among them: this is not a sandwich, correct? Only one slice of bread with an egg?
Also, what do you ultimately do with the leftover bread circle?
Now we need a second genie to drain the first one
Mixture of grated cheese and panko, best of both 🤌
It’s just a missteak, could happen too any one
Snus/nicotine pouches. Used, obviously

Sure! Crowdsource the button clicking! Make it meta!
The people who expect a fediverse site to deliver everything they like, none of what they don’t like, and with zero effort on their end are… frustrating. Big social media really did a number on the internet.
The funny thing is, the beginning of the web was also a bunch of nerds talking mostly about politics and free software.

That reminds me, anyone wanna buy a labubu?

I assure you both can be found here on earth

Yes it is a “technical problem” solved by the user. The user gets to pick what they want to see. That is the beauty of the fediverse - a higher degree of control. That is what all of us here signed up for. The user does have to click buttons from time to time.
The only “solution” on the platform side would be it trying to figure out what you would like to see, through statistics and guesswork on ingestion of our personal data. We’ve already seen how that turns out. Those kinds of machines are never satiated and cause orders of magnitude more harm than good. We don’t like it, and that’s why we’re here.
