4k microOLED per eye with such a low weight sounds like a winning combo for anyone looking to spend a lot of time in VR. I’m sure the panels alone are close to $1k so the total price doesn’t seem that extreme. Its a niche product using cutting edge displays and custom lenses so there’s kind of no getting around a high price. Hopefully its successful enough that they can release a cheaper QLED version next because the form factor looks great.

I was in a Goodwill when an insane person took over the stores PA system and started saying crazy shit. Wages have outpaced inflation recently. Things have generally been heading in the right direction since the pandemic but it came too late and the masses are mostly ignorant or misinformed so the data is irrelevant to them. Its about how people feel as you point out, there’s not a rational argument against feelings, people feel how they feel. One side has become very good at taping into those feelings, the other side is talking about data and no one gives a shit unless the data validates what they feel.

I think it will take longer than that, there’s still a lot of rich people who don’t think Trump will really do the tariffs or the mass deportation. Once it becomes clear that is really happening the economy will likely start getting all kinds of messed up fast.

Also, as others have told you, inflation is actually low again currently and that is why rates are coming down now. This is the “soft landing” that everyone was talking about, just in time for Trump to take the helm.

It looks like he has both shrunk and expanded his voters. From what I’m seeing he did significantly better than he has in the past with various groups and in various places, but you are right it looks like overall his numbers declined by several million. Both sides underperformed compared to 2020 and Trump won because he underperformed less.

In a democracy it is possible to democratically elect an anti-democratic leader. It’s one of the ironies and paradoxes of democratic political systems. I think if you study history some more the world should start making more sense for you.

I wouldn’t count on that. These are cultists who are ready to deify Trump and start sending people to the camps. I don’t think losing an election will change the fundamental cult dynamic, or the hatred and anger that has been organized within the cult.
