Once I accidentally answered the door to a religious doorknocker who started up all sympathetic about how hard life is these days… I made it a point to say no, I’m doing fine and so grateful for all that I have! His shocked face was telling.

Yeah. I don’t mind a cuppa and a chat but I’m really not a fan of the manipulation that comes with it.
