I fucking loooooved this game as a kid! I even really enjoyed UT3, with the hoverboards? This whole series felt like a sort of magical fever dream game that was so different to anything else I was playing or seeing my friends play. It was 2005-2009 or so. So much instagibbing of bots. I remember being absolutely fascinated by the skins of UT2004. Abaddon, I think, sticks out in my memory the most. Imagining back stories for all of them, trying to work out what I was looking at… god, I miss when gaming really felt like uncovering secrets.
Am I right in saying there was some Unreal Tournament game where you play a single player story campaign? And you start as a woman in an airship with like… Glass panels everywhere? I might be mixing up like four games here.
Edit: I was thinking of Unreal II: The Awakening, I’m like 90% sure. I must’ve played it through the Unreal Anthology.
Hell yea! Cant wait for the UT skins to be available in Fortnite any time soon! Fuck sake…
We don’t have to talk about Fortnite here; this article is about UT!
