Not sure how to understand this comment:

Lemmy is like 1000s of websites similar to reddit, doing its best to be as irrelevant as possible. Just use lemmy.world instead.

It’s really good more people are talking about Lemmy on Reddit. It gives Lemmy more exposure and more and more users are making the switch from Reddit to Lemmy because of it! 🎉

We should all be making posts regularly on Reddit about how to easily switch to Lemmy. 💪

People are more ready now than ever before.

Deleted my account a month ago. If I need to read something really important, I do it via libredirect.

Only the fediverse deserves my full attention.

“Perfect is the enemy of good” or something so I think having that sub is not ironic. But I agree in principle or else I would not have been here.

Reddit or social media in general should be the last thing we switch, simply because we need to reach as many people as possible. If we give that up too early, the movement dies instantly. You cannot convince people to switch if they can’t even see your posts.

This is half right half cope. You aren’t forced to use a single social media. You can switch while remaining.

Also I cracked up seeing someone say “as a Lemmy user” then noticing their name was guillotines now. Very on brand.
