I haven’t belly laughed in a while but scrolling through the “decent” clocks only to arrive at MechaHitler with no numbers and one hand fucking flying around the screen really sent me

Gemini for me. Deep seek rendered the numbers off screen. If Google wins the AI race too, we should all just pack our bags lol, it’s over.

Easy. It’s the same people behind both LLMs. They just told a developer to code a program that makes an app that designs an algorithm that makes a neural network that puts all the bad stuff into one LLM and all the good stuff into another and that’s how you get qwen

IIRC Qwen 2.5 is old and a much smaller model than DeepSeek 3.1, but also a lot of the models are outdated. I know that Qwen makes models that are more comparable to DeepSeek.

There’s some art in there. Wish I knew enough about artistic movements to be able to ascribe them to fitting ones. I’m sure there’s some cubism going on, some surrealism probably and dadaism but anything specific or more modern and I am fucked

Deepseek updated before I got the clock I actually wanted, so you get this one as a sort of honourable mention

Big fan of the “exploded” clock variant. I think I could install a piece like that in a contemporary gallery

GPT makes some interesting maximalist pieces

There’s also the “huddled” type, but I see that one in quirky stores all the time. Still, novel enough

    Qwen makes some bangers too
This one is giving Hitler-stache. Is it saying something about the inherent fascism of how we structure time in capitalism?

Not included in the picture: The square also rotates

In this case the LLMs are just coding (or attempting to code) a clock with html and css, possibly javascript too but you wouldn’t necessarily need it. Part of the prompt was leaked in this other comment: https://lemmygrad.ml/post/10677257/7733548. Then the website grabs the LLM’s answer and displays it. So the LLM is not generating the clock directly, it’s just writing code that you then run.

As for how it generates uhh

(no more precisely they tokenize words, breaking them into a unit the neural network can work with, then they also transform words into tensors, which are arrays of vectors in N dimensions, which gives each word the LLM learns semantic closeness between words and concepts, then after that the rock we trick into thinking performs magic and outputs a sentence).

These AI are dumbasses and don’t even consider using a point zero

    When being told do:

    1000081030

I find it funny these machines can’t even exercise the simplest thought patterns
