    Most of the time, yeah. You can do 99 things right and 1 thing not to their liking. You’ll only ever hear about that 1 thing (positive feedback is very rare) and then they act the way they do.

      Ugh… That’s depressing. Definitely a case of people who should not be managers, being managers. Rarely is it worth learning to “manage” them in reverse. Do you have any way to move away from this person?

        Unfortunately not. The company I work for has three directors and this is one of them. The only way to move away is leave and that’s what I plan to do! Just waiting patiently for the right role to come up.

          💪 You can do this! I’m in a similar position but I got so burnt out that I’m just sliding out and going to recuperate a bit off savings. Not ideal, but I couldn’t wait any longer. Hope the right role pops up soon!
