Just tried the new ride on mower down here. Old one carked it.

We are no longer going 4km/h but 6km/h. Basically the Ferrari of the mower world. Have to slow down when turning the corner on rabbit / hare mode.

It’s also red so will have to put some flame decals on.

I think I fixed the dishwasher. It appears to be working now. 🤞 I got the front wheels off the pram to soak and scrub them after the dog shit incident but not the back wheels. I know how to but they’re stuck so I’ve put cooking oil to soak in to those parts and will just have to move that to the back area of the lino for when I mop. If I have to chuck the base I have a spare one from where the carrier part of that got ruined.

    TW mental health

My sleep pattern is so bad and my mental health has been worse. I’ve been randomly having anxiety and grief crashouts so bad I puke but also desperately trying to regain some control and fix everything to try and ease my mind. Been talking with people about Melbcat and showing cute photos of her but nothing seems to help. I wish I could just cry normally, break down and howl like an animal but it doesn’t feel safe to do that with the people in my block.

It has never in my life been safe to stop and fully openly grieve and usually I’ve had to compartmentalise to survive the next immediate crisis. https://www.tumblr.com/sometiktoksarevalid/803770369219624960

I can still probably be easily heard :(

And I’m still kind of at the stunned disbelief stage with it just starting to break through in little bits

Feels like someone is driving a knife into my lung through my left shoulder blade, even hurts to breathe a bit. No way I punctured my lung by just sleeping on my arm or crooking my neck funny, but I’m catastrophising because wow the pain is sharp.

Why do I have to sleep like a bread knot lol

Edit: check out this sick pic of the moon I took. Love how it’s like, almost perfectly set in the gap between my balcony roof and the building next door

    I just think it's neat

      Are you hypermobile?

I get that since childhood and it turned out to be a stiffness/subluxation in a tiny joint where a rib was attached to my spine. Sometimes it can crunch back into place naturally or with gentle stretching. Another time it was a bit more stubborn and needed to be adjusted by a physio. (Avoid chiropractors.)

It’s not dangerous but hurts like a removed

I don’t think I’m hyper mobile; I’m pretty inflexible which I attribute that to lack of exercise lol I can still put my foot behind my head though so I got that going for me 😂

Though you are probably right with what the issue is. I’ll get my partner to give it a good massage when it isn’t 3am 😂

You can be hypermobile without being flexible, especially if you’re not able to safely stretch or exercise much. Your body can also defensively tighten your muscles to avoid hyperextension.

Heat helps the pain and helps things relax back into place if it is that

Subscapularis and serratus anterior are the muscles in the area. Could also be rib head / vertebrae articulations.

Poi or club bells are good shoulder mobility exercises. Else time heals most things.

I know this pain you’re talking about, it happens to me randomly but infrequently and it really sucks. Try laying dead flat on your back on the hard floor, bring your knees up (like heels to your bum, knees together, keep your neck straight and just looking up) and slowly move your arms up and down along the ground like your making a snow angel. Even just lay like that with your arms outstretched for a while.

    Question: do you sleep

    1. clothed
    2. undie-d
    3. nude
    4. PJs

Just curious after seeing a post on the other place about how 2/3 millennials sleep nude.

I am one. Even if it’s the middle of winter. I get all twisted up in clothes, tangled, and I run hot so I just end up sweaty lol

    Aced it👍

I’m doing all the right things, am allowed to take more allergy meds if I want. Will keep a food diary for a month. I might be alright just by being careful what I eat and taking allergy meds when I want.

Didn’t get the testing today, might in a month’s time.

Holy crap it’s stunning outside. Had lunch with Boyo at a cafe and we both considered blowing off work for the arvo to go and sit on a patio somewhere. Sadly I’m back at my desk.

Heading into the CBD this morning - haven’t been on public transport in months, usually work from home.

Sure enough, delays of >10m just announced due to equipment issues.

And people wonder why RTO mandates are so unpopular. Shonky PT is just one of the many reasons.

Cbf doing any real cooking tonight, so I’ve shoved tonight’s meatballs in a foil envelope in the oven with diced spuds and carrots and some garlic/chilli/onion mince and a dribble of olive oil. Smelling very nice now it’s cooking. Will eat with rice tonight and maybe tomorrow in a wrap. Still got maybe half an hour to go before its ready.
