This will be a huge lift for content discovery. I love the idea of PeerTube, but still struggle with discovery and subscriptions. As the links and videos are populated through communities, it will help!
doesn’t PeerTube have voluntary federation amongst instances ? and most have that turned off ? , so finding videos on other instances from an instance you are on can be impossible ? or do i misunderstand how it works ?
Not exactly. Most PeerTube instances does not follow a lot of other PeerTube instances. This however doesn’t prevent other instances from following said PeerTube instance. You can follow any channel on a PeerTube instance from any other Fediverse application.
