The Trump administration is reviewing proposals to break up one of the world’s leading climate and weather laboratories, transfer its work to universities and private companies, take away its aircraft, and sell its property in Boulder, Colo.
The lab in question is NCAR, the National Center for Atmospheric Research.

Given the short projected lifespan of the organisation issuing the orders, maybe they should get lost in a drawer for a few weeks.
I hate this so much. That location is beautiful and a real jewel for Boulder.
There isn’t even hardly anyone in Wyoming.
Like they won’t have experts there.
800 jobs at this facility
Yeah I don’t know if they will be able to recruit the right type of employees there. Who wants to live in Wyoming?
Not saying there can’t be good people.
But it’s going to be slim picking. And difficult to recruit.
That’s a super small university.
Yikes. 800?
Maybe 8 PhDs even in that field of study. What’s the chances they are experts on this topic?
