And then you block the view of the rail attachment system with a text box and poor cropping…

(Does anyone have a better, closer angle?)

It’s a cut, not a cultivar, that’s probably better known as Julienne cut. Sausage vendors often have sliced onions as one of the toppings for their sausages and it’s never not delicious.

The awkward wording was to match the image.

          Thanks!

          So sliced finely I guess.

If you do that, finely, it makes for the best ever fried onions (salt them and be generous with the olive oil and almost burn them for a while. Like 5 min or more ).

Jean-Cluade: “Pierre! The government is reducing our retirement benefits by a quarter of a percent point!”

Pierre: “Ces enfoirés! … *brings out a selection of sauages * … so are we thinking Boudin Blanc, Boudin Noir, Andouillette? What sounds good? Oh, and you will have the hors d’oeuvres, oui?”

Jean-Claude: holding a tray of crudités “Oui! Of course, oui!”

I have a vague idea in my mind of German and Polish sausages, but I have no idea what French sausages are like. How do they compare?

They are made for barbecuing, mergues & chipolatas most commonly, so usually quite good! Most people prefer one over the other so always get both!

either a very lax police or toothless protest if you can bring a barbecue to a protest and it’s in one piece by the end.

I’m all about hating on the French, to a a concerning degree even, but those fuckers protest like nobody else…the world would be a slightly better place if citizens everywhere got as easily pissed at their government and their employers as the French.

I would argue the police in America are way too aggressive. People have a right to protest

You really think its just about food? If you can’t see how a hot heavy metal barrier could be a useful thing to keep between you and riot cops, you know nothing about protesting.

i was thinking about it more in the lines of rubber bullets and teargas. i don’t get how a barbecue constrained on rails could ever be that useful.

are they not getting shot at or beaten? no water cannons? no dirty tactics to surround and suffocate them to death with teargas?

either this protest is not consequential enough or the french have it much easier than what we get in the global south.

The french have firmly established that peaceful protests are only their first step and they have a long history proving their willingness to take it further.

They can afford to have a protest like this because they are lucky in that their government is still scared of them. This is just a warning protest.
