please don’t say now that buddy is gender neutral. i am sure it is to you, and that u mean well, but many trans fems perceive it differently and after all you are trying to be an allie to us, right? sowwy no offense intended just trying to spread knowledge :3
I can second the “don’t call me buddy” sentiment. If you’d like to refer to me the way you’d refer to a child, please use “sweetie” or “darling” or “miss.”
I’ll third it. A friend of my uses “dude”, ofc no ill intent, says it to everyone and really does mean it in a gender neutral way. I never expected to have such a gripe with it but it really fucks with your head
I was also going to comment the same thing, I can’t even really express why I hate it so much. It somehow feels like the least gender affirming possible thing to call me.
