President Donald Trump on Friday seized on the electoral success of several democratic socialist candidates to ramp up his attacks on the Democratic Party, claiming it was being taken over by “godless Communists” who pose an existential threat to the nation.

The heated rhetoric marked the latest bid by Trump to portray Democrats as political extremists ahead of November’s midterms — even though portrayals of even the party’s most liberal candidates as “communists” are far from reality.

“These are hard core, godless Communists,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post earlier on Friday, an accusation he repeated during remarks to a gathering of social conservatives. “This is the Greatest Threat to our Country since its Founding 250 years ago!”

We’re finally starting to get the left we deserve instead of the one pulled center by an opposition giving cover to rapists, pedophiles, spousal abusers and murderers.

Yeah but now Americans are actually directly being affected by the fascist idiots that ripped the mask off early.

At this point a decent number of them are starting to wonder if the opposite side won’t be as bad. And that’s all that’s necessary to start righting the ship, if people are actually willing to step up and not just let the same octogenarian power brokers keep running everything.

We went from Trump being elected a second time, to a dozen Democratic Socialists being elected and districts flipping 30+ points in just 2 years.

Eventually people start to wonder why the rain is yellow and tastes like piss.

The right has always called anything that went against their agenda communism. The word is meaningless by their context. We can’t change how they distort the truth. It’s their only game plan. We can only show them that what we’re doing helps the most people regardless of how they mischaracterize it. People are sick of platitudes they want to see results.

Is this the same “god” that demands rich people give all their wealth the poor and needy, and that their followers do everything in their power to provide for the needs and well-being of others?

Honestly even at face value a “godless communist” sounds pretty great right now.

I acknowledge that communism is not without its problems, but the US can afford to head in that direction for a few years.

Sideshow, or rather symptom of the wider problem of wealth disparity, a pay to play legal and political system, and the Victorian class system returning as Thomas Picketty predicted.

And there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things with the sort of raffia work base that has an attachment. At this time, a friend shall lose his friend’s hammer and the young shall not know where lieth the things possessed by their fathers that their fathers put there only just the night before, about eight o’clock.

“They will close your churches in this country. They go communist, and they’re trying to. They will kill your people, and that’s what they’re about. They want to end religion,” he said.

Nothing scares Americans like the threat of the godless, freedom hating communists coming to burn down your church and kill your family. It’s effective. They wouldn’t keep doing it if it didn’t work.

Funny how the right always associates Christians with capitalism. Capitalism being a system that relies on hurting and exploiting one group to enrich another. Literally what their greatest teacher Christ preached against. While Communism - a system that puts emphasis on taking care of all people over personal wealth/power is always spoke of as godless.

Literally what their greatest ~~teacher ~~

Mascot. Although according to their mythology, he did spend a great deal of effort on teaching, his would-be students refused to learn - a trait true of Christians to this day.

They love iconography of the guy though! …no not that iconography - can we make him more white? Perfect. That iconography.

I don’t believe in god, but he was a philosopher and teacher objectively (if he did indeed exist). Honestly agree with a lot of what he preached regardless of the fairytale surrounding it.

As for Christians, nothing surprising about people not living up to ideology all the time. What gets me is the Christian right’s complete hypocrisy in how they claim an ideology with such fervor while overtly and unapologetically not following it.

That’s my point though. If I deliver a lecture to a brick wall, even an insightful, logical, factual, beautifully executed lecture, am I a teacher? For one to teach, another must learn. If Christians reject the lessons of their own god, the whole production is just one giant tragedy about a man and his son-self thing fruitlessly pleading with a pile of bricks. Despite their best effort, the bricks did not, do not, and will not learn; actively denying Sky Daddy & Super J the role of ‘teacher’.

Christians aren’t a monolith. I grew up Christian and some of the best people I know are Christians. They genuinely strive to follow what they believe. Some of the worst people I know are also loudly Christians. No teacher gets through to all their students - if you’ve ever sat in a classroom you know that. As much as I dislike organized religion I’m not going to lump them all together. That’s just another “godless commy” generalization.

Christians aren’t a monolith, but Christianity is. My assessment of it is as a whole, although you’re correct that doing so is unfair to the individuals who manage to not be corrupted by it. Still, even if those individuals aren’t actively participating in the evils perpetuated by Christianity, they are actively supporting them, which makes me question if they’re sincerely good people, or if they’re just wearing an outward veneer to make the evil shit easier to swallow. The Bible itself addresses these types in it’s scrutiny of the Pharisees: that there’s a modern version comes as no surprise.

Literally what their greatest teacher Christ preached against.

Jesus (presuming he existed) lived in a culture steeped in slavery, yet he never bothered saying “hey guys, maybe don’t do that?”

What a great and wise teacher.

Good point. Though it was retranslated by kings like 12 times and the stories are all second hand accounts so it’s likely none of the bible is all that accurate if it did happen on any level.

Remember that time he called mamdani and evil communist terrorist Muslim jihadist and the worst thing that can happen to New York. Then he won, met Trump and then Trump said he’ll be great for New York and is a nice guy.

Almost like the guy has no actual morals or ideals or anything really. And is in fact just evil himself.
