I got one: the hotel I was working for implemented one (back in mid 90s) if you were injured otj or did 200$ worth of damage you had to get tested (and be suspended for 3 days while waiting for the results)
Well, the chef poured hot oil from a pan on my arm, went to the clinic after work, then knew I was going to piss hot, went back in the next day (very high volume event weekend, everyone was needed) and basically the entire staff was demanding the chef who caused the accident get tested instead of me.
Nothing ever came from it, never got the results, everything was swept under the table…that would’ve been an easy lawsuit.
Its pretty standard practice, usually required as part of workers comp claims (and related insurance policies for companies), that people get tested for substances following a workplace injury. Plus employers would love to have an excuse not to pay out the claim, even if someone having smoked weed 2 weeks beforehand had no bearing on their injury.
One thing I find interesting about Colorado is that if someone is tested following an incident and tests positive, the company is still liable for 50% of the comp claim. Unlike in most places, someone being intoxicated or testing positive does not fully negate the responsibility of the company to pay out workers comp

I was tested once as a grocery bagger in 1994. The shift manager came out and said she “just lost her job.” 😅
