The 81-year-old president said he’s bowing out after remaining defiant for weeks in the face of calls to withdraw from the 2024 race.

What a stupid comment. Biden was getting stuff done. Everyone was cool with it until he said “I’ll tax the billionaires.”

If Trump wins, and god I hope he doesn’t win, we’ll totally deserve it, for being the party of ADHD.

Biden was shaky at best. I doubt there was a real chance he would have survived four more years of the most stressful job in the world (for an honest person, trump of course doesn’t work like that).

I think he did the right thing, and his administration was very successful and more progressive than I think most of us expected. I’d vote for him again, but I don’t think it was best for everyone.

I can’t comment on him enduring four more years of leading the nation, but he would have won the votes. He was never my top option in the past. But at this point, the democratic party is playing with fire. Let’s just hope it pays off.

Nope. Because now the party is in real disarray. Mark my words: if Trump wins, it will be because of what happened today. And the democrats are to blame. Yes, yes, Russia, China, Iran, all doing an excellent disinformation campaign, yes, yes, the GOP is compromised, etc. But ultimately, the democrats opened the floodgates of opportunity for Trump to win “because the gates looked too rusty and we need to replace them.”

Biden was fine. And I didn’t even like Biden. I would have preferred Sanders over him or Clinton. But we know what the elite dems did to him.

Biden was far better of a President than I thought he’d be. But the way our dumb media works, and the way our elections are done, there is almost no way he was going to win after that debate performance. Then pile on the performances after that.

Trump and lie, lie, lie and openly state he’s going to be a dictator out for personal vendettas and the “liberal media” is going to maybe mention that, then move on to talking about how frail and senile Biden is. Even if he’s only lost a bit of his edge.

Let’s have a primary of sorts, and pick the candidate that can most likely WIN.

I agree Bernie is pretty sharp. But Bernie is, in many ways, a unique case. We have a minimum, 35, we should have a max, 65.

That gives presidential candidates a good opportunity to gain life and work experience. It also keeps the ideas fresh and out of life long political careers. Anyone over 65 can be hired as a consultant, or one of many other positions. States obviously set their own rules for local governing, but I think it should apply locally too.

That would be rather ridiculous. Age is just a number (especially as we may be on the precipice of age slowing/age reversal). I’d be for reliable mental acuity type of screening.

Exactly! Since the the eldest has survived longer than anyone else, they clearly kniw the most sbout survival.

Therefore, our society should have the eldest person alive make all the descisions, since they clearly know how to survive best!

A literal prosecutor, vs a literal criminal, might be able to make an effective dichotomy of democracy vs fascism in (somehow) still undecided voters.

But who knows, you wouldn’t be happy unless Biden announced he was dropping out in favor of literal Joseph Stalin risen from the grave.

Stalin would never run as a democrat, he would denounce them like I do. If given the choice between a capitalist POS and a communist, the communist or socialist would get my vote. I would rather vote for what I want in government and not get it, than vote for something I don’t want and get it anyway

No, it was the elite democrats who put the pressure. They heard Biden saying “I’ll tax the billionaires” and that was it.

Edit: Downvoted either by Trump sympathizers or people brainwashed by said elites. The media campaign was relentless.

Don’t you think that if those people actually cared that much about their taxes, they’d just vote for Trump? And is it really that unrealistic that he simply recognized how bad his numbers were?

The polls mean nothing. There are better ways to know how Trump was going to lose AGAIN against Biden. But it doesn’t matter now anyway.
