China’s special envoy for European affairs, Lu Shaye, has said he is “appalled” by US President Donald Trump’s treatment of America’s European allies. He added that a peace deal for Ukraine should not be decided solely by the US and Russia.
He, of course, will have no problem if China is invited to the table. Especially if he can figure out how to tank any peace deal to protect Beijing’s weapons sales and economic benefits from supporting Russia.
It’s mind boggling that Washington has tried to cut Ukraine out of discussions about their own country. Although I’m sure Trump envisions a chain of golf courses and resorts across Donetsk and Luhansk
