    FYI, patriarchy is unlikely to be hundreds of thousands of years old, as stated in the article. Most likely society was more neutral or possibly matriarchal before about 10,000 years ago, before people formed permanent settlements.

      It’s exceedingly rare to see a matriarchal society, even in tribal societies. There are some matrilineal societies, but that doesn’t equate to female rule.

      Do you have any source to backup your statement, or is it just speculation?

      There is no evidence either way. We just don’t know what societal models people had in prehistory. If i were to speculate, I’d say they went through every feasible permutation many times over.
