WASHINGTON — White House officials have held increasingly serious discussions in recent days about President Donald Trump’s invoking the Insurrection Act, a rarely used 19th century law that gives the president the power to deploy active-duty troops inside the United States for law enforcement purposes, five people with knowledge of the talks told NBC News.

It takes a surprising amount of courage to put a gun to your head and pull the trigger, speaking from experience. Or perhaps an equal amount of fear, but regardless it’s not an easy decision to make, like taking a bunch of sleeping pills or sitting in the car in the garage while it runs.

Speaking from experience, it’s very easy to put a gun to your head and pull the trigger.

Mine didn’t go off so I pulled it again against the pillow and it tore a hole right through it.

That’s when I decided I wanted to live a little longer and saw it as a sign.

So I will say it again: it’s the coward’s way out because they can’t face the consequences of their actions.

Don’t give me this bullshit that it’s very hard to do.

Much harder to face your accusers and death with them.
