I believe amber is not uncommon in the region, so unless it was a special personal piece, it was probably made for sale. To complicate it, unfortunately illegal amber mining also exists. It’s so hard to know how effective our help is. All we can do is try to do what we think is right. I think you did a good thing!

Just read an article saying that the number of people guessing the Wordle right on the first attempt is way higher than statistically likely, so it means they are cheating by looking up the answer before they attempt the puzzle. I can only assume this is so they can brag about getting it right first time? And here I was thinking the fun of the game was in the solving, but for some people it’s all about winning internet points and lauding it over others. Ah humans.

I am always amazed at how people can think something that would benefit them is a conspiracy.
I think that many people voting no are doing so because they are indifferent, disinterested, don’t care about politics. So the rally won’t be a good indicator of the size of the no vote. The ‘if you don’t know vote no’ was such an easy win for the no campaign. Everybody is entitled to their vote but I feel people living in democracies shouldnt waste their votes because ‘meh’. I think there a moral obligation to participate, whatever your decision is it should be an informed one with real reasons.
Would it work to put them in a ziplock bag and give them a bash with rolling pin to crush into smaller pieces? Not as much chewing needed?

Unfortunately leaf curl is inevitable and can only be managed by spraying. If this isn’t a preference yeah I agree time to get rid of the tree and plant something more robust. As for the lemon tree, my recommendation is to ignore any and all advice that says to cut off the galls. Spent a few years cutting off galls from my lemon tree, and the poor thing could never recover because it was getting cut back too much. Left it totally alone for a couple of years, just fertilised, and it is now lush and heaving with fruit. It is also full of galls but that seems to have zero impact on its fruit producing ability. There is enough tree for both me and the wasps to share.
Went to the new Studley park boat house at the weekend. Place was packed and buzzing. They have done a really nice job with maximising to river location. Food was pretty good. If you drive there be warned you may have to park some distance away if you go during the lunch peak.
So I like the flavours of bubble teas but I don’t like boba. So I don’t get it very often. But I just had a thought… what if I just order it without the boba? Why have I only just come to this realisation? Brain you really work slow sometime.
