Wait, what’s the “under a hex (44)” from? He was 55.
Also I get 79 for “murder”, where did you get 38? And for “Call of Duty”? I don’t know shit about Numerology honestly lol

oh fuck off.
I just think that’s slimy dude 🤷♂️ you should own your words.
but, I’ll gladly fuck off and leave you to all the fun you’re having. Happy Monday! ✌️
Edit: oh, looks like they did go back and edit it to actually make it more aggressive than it originally was. Again, didn’t note it. This kind of thing totally removes the context of conversations, it’s weird behaviour.

Wtf, did they call you a shitstain and then edit their comment to soften it without noting that?? That’s so slimy…

Just don’t add the surveillance and spam features in the first place. 👍 Fuck off, Mozilla.

To me, “the music a subcontractor listens to while they work” is different to “the thing they’re working on”.

I thought you’d already put to bed the idea that that’s what the person you’re replying to was saying? I agree that sick misogynists like Tate should not get any publicity.
Ha, yeah I’m on board with your second point, man.
Hey, I totally agree with you.
The concept behind these apps is fine, even helpful. I’ve used these types of apps when I’ve been unwell and couldn’t get to the shops. I’m not forgetting people who are disabled. I don’t own a car.
I agree, an app that provided a similar service that took care of its employees would be fine. An app that provided a similar service without jacking the prices up massively and pushing junk food would be great.
I know and agree with you that the poor treatment and underpayment of workers is a problem.
Yes, of course your alternative app would be worth supporting.
We do not seem to be in any disagreement here.
Are you familiar with the clip of that person saying like, “Well Mr Trump, if you deport all the Mexicans, who will clean your toilets?”
I’m only asking cos this feels like the same situation. I think you’re pointing at a wider problem which is legit, but the way you’re expressing it is really hamfisted.
The kind that only lower class minorities work? /s in case it wasn’t obvious
While I think these apps are exploitative on both sides (exploiting laziness/convenience and exploiting workers), I think implying that people who use delivery services are racist, classist, or both, is a very “internet” thing to do.
Perhaps it would be healthy if OP went outside for Christmas. A little walk in the real world, as opposed to Lemmy or Twitter or Bluesky, might help rebalance things.

The GenAI asset was in the final release. It wasn’t that a subcontractor used GenAI to create a music playlist to listen to while they worked. That’s a very different thing.
“The squits” is English (maybe regional to the Midlands) slang for diarrhoea already lol

She is saying a few things.
The first statement is saying that she believes she received the majority of the abuse aimed at the two of them (her and her boss). She is saying that she believes this to be because she’s a woman, and that women generally are criticised more than men for this kind of thing.
The second statement is that, of the abuse she received, most of it came from other women.

You asked people to explain. People explained that you’re coming across as a dick, in a thread explicitly about regrettable, gullible moments. I don’t know what you’re having a problem with here but it seems like you’re the one having an emotional reaction, calling people cowards and refusing to hear people’s explanations.
I think the reason your initial comment comes across hostile is because of the way it’s written (chaining questions), and the way you’re asking things that have an obvious answer.
However, you didn’t write anything explicitly hostile. It’s a question that could come across either way, and if you genuinely had no mocking or hostile intent I would have suggested rereading and rewording your comment to make that clearer, as it’s tough to interpret that kind of thing through text. I’ve totally left comments that read hostile when I didn’t intend it to, it just happens sometimes! 🤷♂️
“a large portion of the world’s most powerful people would be imprisoned”? What? No, they wouldn’t. That doesn’t happen to many of the rich and famous. That’s what the riches and fame are for.
You can totally start now. Although, and maybe this is just a me thing, I’d feel like a massive bellend if I referred to something that happened in, for instance, 2021 as “in '21”.
I think I’d feel okay with “'01”, through to “'09”, then the teens feel weird again but only because it just feels weird to refer to a year as small as like… “'13”… although I don’t have that same problem with the naughties, maybe that’s because of the added “oh” making it seem like more than just a number? And then the twenties feel like big enough numbers to abbreviate but, yeah, again, I’d feel like a tool.
