At least in reality we don’t have to worry about any of those veterans becoming cyberpsychos.
If they had evidence to justify all these murders they would be parading it all over Fox News and CBS 24/7. But they aren’t because there isn’t any.
I agree. But that makes me ask. Then why are they doing it. I figure initially it was probably bravado and such. Also a dose of some of trumps base would like it. But continuing is odd. What are they gaining by continuing that they couldn’t have by quietly stopping. I just don’t get it.
Justification for abducting Venezuela’s president, installing a US-friendly puppet, and getting access to exploit their massive oil reserves. The shitstain flat out admitted it
I guess. I don’t see how it justifies anything. They could just say how many boats they identified as drug carrying (without evidence of course) and not bother to blow them up. Would be easier to inflate the numbers even.
But then the people on those boats can testify otherwise, and the department of war crimes would look “weak” for letting them through
They don’t even have to have any real boats. They can just say “our military tracked X boats in the first quarter alone!!”. No we can’t show you the evidence because that would expose our sources and military capabilities… blah blah blah.
As the other comment said, it’s to manufacture justification in order to commandeer Venezuela and their oil market.
Imperialism always acts in service of the economy which gives the empire its power.
I guess writers for cyberpunk don’t know where central America is lol. Those are all South American countries…
Canada sank, so they had to move all the countries up in rank.

Yes, those countries are on the South American continent but, in relation to both of the Americas, they exist in the center. They are on the same latitude as countries such as Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama.
Also, it does say the war is also known as the “Second South American War”, so there is that as well.
Sure but at least in American English no one would refer to this region as Central America.
Which is probably why the authors note that the war is known by two names.
Ok but one of them, which seems to be the main one, is just straight up geographically inaccurate lol
Fair. Officially, you’re right. None of those countries are technically “Central America” according to any definition of the region.
They could be confusing it with “Middle America”, which sometimes includes Colombia and Venezuela but that doesn’t explain Ecuador and Peru, which have always, in any context, been South American.
I’m just waiting for the crash of the first net.
Guess our AIs have to become a bit more advanced first before that happens.
