He’s a trash person, but I don’t think it’s a clip. It looks like some is going around his neck (left side). Also it looks like the opposite end of the tie is poking out on the left side about halfway down. Unless clip ons have that?

Clip-ons to have the smaller tie end as well so they don’t look like clip-ons (as much).
Heck, some even have a neck strap that goes around and clips on the side. There’s lots of options now that look way more like real ties.
