Donald Trump’s new White House Chief of Staff, Stephen Miller, said the Republican Party is “more popular than ever,” just days after voters handed Democrats control of the House and Senate the midterm elections.

Miller said in his speech that it was “the privilege of a lifetime to join President Trump,” before adding: “If it wasn’t for President Trump, the United States of America would not exist right now.”

“This man saved America,” Miller said. “He saved our military from collapse, he saved our economy from destruction, he saved our border from annihilation and he saved our country from threats at home and abroad which would have been the end of the American dream forever.”

I am so confused by his looks. Like, I have at least 15 years on him but he looks older than I do? He is aging like people in the 1940s &50s, does he smoke? Or it’s just the evil aging him?

I can only wonder what the remaining GOP voters think. Do they actually believe this shit? America is the laughing stock of the world, gas prices sky high, grocery prices sky high, no healthcare, a pedophile for president. Yeah man, America is doing great…

I’ve been calling him PeeWee Himmler for years, hoping others would pick it up. You’re the first person I’ve seen. Let’s spread it far.

Trump does that for … I don’t know, probably all his life. He always spun everything however fits his narrative and unfortunately it seems to work more often than not. Telling people what they want to hear seems exceedingly successful.

I would be embarrassed to have others see me kissing ass like that. I’ve always despised it when I’ve seen it in workplaces growing up.

I’ve owned a business for over 30 years, and I really, REALLY hate it when people kiss my ass and suck up to me like that. I slap that behavior down hard.

Goebbels was in charge of Propaganda. Himmler was in charge of the Final Solution. He resembles Himmler far more, which is why I call him PeeWee Himmler.

Rumor was that when he entered the White House, he had been so repellent his entire life that he was still a virgin. She was some White House functionary from some rich donor family that used the N-word at the dinner table routinely, and they fell in love.

He’s going to keep saying obvious and attention grabbing lies like this.

Because quietly he’s going to do horrible shit he doesn’t want anyone to notice.

        Longer…

The memo – called, simply enough, “A Plan For Putting the GOP on TV News” – is included in a 318-page cache of documents detailing [Roger] Ailes’ work for both the Nixon and George H.W. Bush administrations that we obtained from the Nixon and Bush presidential libraries. Through his firms REA Productions and Ailes Communications, Inc., Ailes served as paid consultant to both presidents in the 1970s and 1990s, offering detailed and shrewd advice ranging from what ties to wear to how to keep the pressure up on Saddam Hussein in the run-up to the first Gulf War.

The memo explains why television was the way to go:

Today television news is watched more often than people read newspapers, than people listen to the radio, than people read or gather any other form of communication. The reason: People are lazy. With television you just sit—watch—listen. The thinking is done for you.

        https://www.poynter.org/reporting-editing/2011/memo-from-1970-a-plan-for-putting-the-gop-on-tv-news/

Ailes started Fox News because Nixon had to resign after Watergate. They figured if they could create their own news and talk about whatever they wanted, their voters would think what they were told to think.

Then in the 90s the oligarchs bought the only other options, and one of the first things the Clintons and Biden did was take a chainsaw to telecommunication regulations…

Don’t fucking give credit to Bannon like he has a masterful insight. This was obvious and in plain sight, the literal memo saying they were gonna do it entered into Nixon’s presidential library, and even more updates from HW’s

It’s the main reason Trump will likely never have one and is paranoid about flushing memos down toilets.

The big reason it’s going so poorly is the plan was for someone like Jeb to be in office. trump just inserted himself into an existing plan like a cuckoo egg.

        All super fucking obvious

My philosophy has always been “don’t listen to that guy“, but I suppose we really should’ve been listening to that guy, because he’s been broadcasting the Trump strategy for over 10 years

What a fucking pile of shit that guy is

I despise the guy but he will flat out state their plan and nobody seems to pay attention. He detailed their plan for claiming 2020 was stolen before the election. It’s no wonder he chose prison over testifying

Every time they say something outrageous, you get a tiny hit of dopamine from the outrage. After a while, you subconsciously crave it. This is why people like gossip magazines and stuff. The more you crave it, the lower the threshold of how believable it has to be for you to accept it. This is how you get sucked into the misinformation machine and this is how maga got conned into it in the first place, fox news did this expertly. This is the main reason you shouldn’t pay attention to the outrageous distractions.

        It’s not dopamine…

An amygdala going off feels great, it’s why people like getting scared and being dangerous.

The more it goes off, the larger it grows, the more it goes off. It is a feedback loop.

But that’s still not what’s going on here.

        fox news did this expertly.

I already have a different reply explaining how fox news connects, but again you’re off.

One of the theories is they are going to just declare the representatives / senators from the left as National security threats and refuse to seat them… We’ll see. I’m not ready to declare this over.

I’m failing to see what constitutionally creative idea that would entail but you’re right not to led the guard down against treason.
